Recently, I helped organising  an invite-only lunch event for Kwamecorp.

Kwamecorp is a service and product innovation agency based in London you may know from work such as the FairphoneLokLokbond or other exciting projects they designed.

We invited some interesting folks from diverse areas in the IoT ecosystem including Anastassia Emmanuel from Indiegogo UK, Marcus Sandberg from Wearable World and Raph Crouan from Startupbootcamp IoT. We also invited some startups and interested folks from the industry interested to learn about IoT.

The main objective was to bring diverse people together from different area’s in the industry and learn and share our experiences and visions of what the IoT is and should be.

Here below some of the insights that we picked up during the lunch event:

kwamecorp sessions feb 18 2015 LR“Indiegogo is not just about funding, but also about mitigating risks. You can use the platform to gain market insights, product evangelists, and iterate incrementally” – Anastassia Emmanuel.

“I don’t believe that the future of IoT will be Data, but being able to reprogram things that are already connected to Internet” – Marc Pous.

“Alleante is plug and play industrial Internet of things.” – Antonio Conati Barbaro.

“The biggest challenge with IoT start-ups is that everyone has to start from scratch.” – Ralph Crouan.

A very insightful lunch and it was great meeting new people active in the IoT ecosystem.
